U Student Housing Security work has recently been completed in Sunderland by TeleConneXions and IT ConneXions. The two companies are part of ConneXions Group in Cumbria and are proud to have used all of their experience in installing multiple solutions at the Forge, Sunderland.
The Forge is operated by U Student and is a self contained campus housing over 500 students meaning security is a top priority. TeleConneXions have provided full CCTV coverage throughout the U Student housing with 77 cameras installed internally / externally and are monitored 24/7 on site in the security office.
Another security feature at the housing installed was the access control meaning each student has their own unique card allowing for entry and exiting through different gates. This system is again monitored from the main security office allowing staff to know who is on site at any given time.
TeleConneXions also installed a new Siemens telephone system at the Forge for the admin office and bar area. The telephone system provides the staff with all their telephony requirements and is also linked to the gate access system to allow conversation between the security office and visitors; allowing the security office to grant access direct from the handset.
In the main reception and show flat of the U Student Housing TeleConneXions installed multi media displays allowing staff to display adverts and upcoming promotions to the campus population.

IT Support Carlisle is one of the main services offered by IT ConneXions who are part of ConneXions Group and located in Cumbria, providing a range of IT and Communication solutions for a variety of businesses.
The latest IT ConneXions job was with the luxury Smiths Hotel in Gretna Green, just a few miles across the border from Carlisle. IT is a major part of how the hotel is run, but they wanted to make savings against employing a full time IT specialist of their own – so IT ConneXions stepped in to provide support and maintenance.
IT ConneXions identified the need to replace some of the Smiths Hotel’s old IT infrastructure with newer technologies. They will also act as their IT support and maintenance should they have any problems. TeleConneXions also looked at modernising the network cabling and providing costs saving on their communications.

Hospital CCTV Maintenance has been won by TeleConneXions who have agreed a yearly maintenance contract to cover existing CCTV installation at Whitehaven Hospital, Cumbria.
TeleConneXions are set to provide the hospital with their gold maintenance agreement which gives 2 site visits per year for a system check as well as a fast response time with any issues.
Along with the CCTV maintenance contract TeleConneXions also installed a new 8 port DVR on the children’s ward within 24 hours of the old unit going faulty and the incident being reported.
TeleConneXions provide CCTV maintenance to many businesses within Cumbria and they are looking forward to this new working relationship with Whitehaven Hospital.
